I have seen the basketweave piping a lot but I had never tried it until today. It's time consuming but not hard. There is piped grass in the basket, but you can't see it from this angle. The flowers and butterflies are candy melts. The butterflies on the handle were added to hide where I had to patch the gum paste handle. LOL! I tried to hide the oops.As usual it's not perfect but it will taste good all the same. We have stuffed a ton of eggs for the hunt this year. We're busy as bees trying to glitter and dye the last bit of hardboiled eggs.
The biggest problem with Easter in Arkansas is that you never know about the weather. Our weather is nuts. Keep your fingers crossed that we have a beautiful Easter! I hope you enjoy this cake! HAPPY EASTER to all you wonderful bloggers.
