Cakes again?!

I made a Navy cake for a man who joined up.

      

This is my first time making a person like this. I did two babies on a baby shower cake  but those were very small and covered in blankets...

        

Anyway, here's the Navy Cake.  The banners are gum paste, the man is fondant. 

 I also made this cake for a little princess.

 

She wanted these dolls on her cake and as you know princesses get what princesses want! ;)

Sponge Bob Cake!

Hey there, I hope you have a sweet tooth today because this cake is heavy with sugar.

My daughter never really watched Sponge Bob so I had to hunt google pretty hard to find the colors and enviroment. I think I did okay making it into a cake...

Easter Cake 2010

Hey crafters!! Here's our Easter cake for this year. I just had to try my hand at a stump. lol

My little bunny is running away. Maybe he saw the Napkin Bunny Army from the post below. Get him!

The Dead Egg & The Army of Bunny Napkins

Happy Easter!! You know I'm holding the cake and food stuffs off until the last second because I'm busy doing other little nerdy things. Like this:

Yes. We are crazy. My daughter is so funny. We had a blast doing this and laughing so hard we barely stayed in our chairs.

Next we made these fantastic cheesecake filled strawberries from Martha. While we were making them we noticed that the bunny napkins kept getting closer and closer...

 

I wasn't really concerned until I came back and the napkin bunnies were surrounding the strawberry. Now I'm worried. I quickly snapped this picture before they could get me.

  
Okay, all kidding aside I hope you all have a fun and safe Easter. We will be playing with our family all day. I'll post the cake if I ever get around to decorating it. I guess I'd have to stop playing napkin bunny wars with my daughter first... lol

Cards for Men are...

always hard for me. My brother is turning 30 tomorrow and I'm making him a cake after his favorite game. I'll post that when it's done. For now I have this card to share.

 

He likes green so I ran with it... Manking cards for guys is so much harder for me. Is it like that for you?

Easy earrings

My sweet little neice wanted to make earrings for her mommy. Isn't that too cute?? So we made 2 pair. It's just shrinky dink (the printable kind holds stamping best) and some earring hooks. It's just standard ink and stamps.
Wow you can really see all my earring holes there... 

I can not wait to post some cakes. My brother's 30th birthday is next week and then Easter. So hopefully the cakes will come out okay and I will share them with you. :)
